The Cairngorms National Park means so many things to so many different people. This Valentines day we would like to share Amy Reid’s story of how she found love in the Cairngorms…
“I met David at our place of work on Cairngorm Mountain back in March 2010 in the big winter. We were inseparable after that first day!
In May 2011 we decided to take our dog Wallace for a walk to the Green Loch in the Cairngorms. Little did I know he was to propose to me when we got there!!
Then in March 2012, we said our vows to one another in the Ptarmigan building on Cairngorm. We had hoped for a real winter wedding but the snow had pretty much all gone!
We lived together in Aviemore for 4 years before moving to Kinloss for work reasons but have said to one another that we will be back living in the area in the future, it’s a really special place for us and we really do love it there.
Cairngorm Mountain certainly means a lot to us, and we will always hold it close to our hearts!” – Amy Reid
